Mack & May's Getting To Know Us: Q & A

We have been blogging for a few months now and thought it would be fun to do a quick Q &A so that you can get to know us a bit better...

1.Is there one make up product you can't leave the house without?

Mack:  My Clinique Superbalanced foundation in "Golden".  I feel totally naked and exposed without it!

May: I think I'll have to say foundation too. It gives me a bit of confidence. Without the rest I just look like I'm not wearing make up, but without foundation, well, I owe it to the public...I have been using Maybelline's Dream Matte Mousse in Ivory for years now. Even though everyone else hates it.

2.What is the most played song on your iTunes account?

Mack: Ok, probably "America" by Razorlight or "Bailando" by Enrique Iglesias.

May: Just checked and it's Monarchy of Roses by Red Hot Chili Peppers. Would never have guessed that it was that. I do love it though (obviously!)

3.What is your favourite mid-week dinner?

Mack: Chilli Con Carne, with either rice or salad.

May: In winter, spag bol. In summer, chicken and new potatoes with salad. And lots of salad cream.

4.What has been your favourite holiday so far?

Mack:  Disney Cruise around the Mediterranean, last year. Pure luxury for the adults and total fun for the children.  The service Disney offer is out of this world!

May:Kenya, 4 years ago. Amazing safaris and amazing relaxation on the beach afterwards.

5.Which TV show or film is your guilty pleasure?

Mack: Watching "This Life" on You Tube.

May: Made in Chelsea.

6.When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Mack: A number of things.  First it was an actress, then a pilot, then a doctor.

May: A ballerina. Or a professional and completely legal snooper around other peoples' homes.

7.Starter or dessert?

Mack: Difficult choice.  Probably dessert, but it really depends on what is on the menu.

May: Starter. Unless I see sticky toffee pudding on the dessert menu.

8.If you were given £1000 to spend just on you, what would be top of your list?

Mack:  New coat, knee high boots, hand bag and a day of pampering at a Spa.

May: A new bag. Probably from Kate Spade.

9.What would your superhero power be?

Mack: Ability to wave to a wooden spoon and dinner is cooked after a busy day at work.

May: Assuming being able to create world peace with a click of my fingers was too much of an ask, I'd go for the ability to time travel, please.

10.What is your favourite pizza topping?

Mack: Got to have jalepenos, beef and onions.  The spicier the better!

May: I'm a Pizza Express La Reine (without the olives, extra mushroom) girl.

11.What song always make you dance?

Mack:  Anything with a bit of a beat by Enrique Iglesias.

May: I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor by Arctic Monkeys.

12.Where is top of your holiday wish-list?

Mack:  Has to be Disneyland. Mickey Mouse for the kids. Rides for the Hubby and Shopping Heaven for me.  Followed by a Caribbean Cruise to relax.

May: Canada. I'd go to Vancouver, the Rockies, Montreal and Quebec. I've got it all planned out...

13.How many products do you use for your 'everyday face'?

Mack: Foundation, powder, eye liner, mascara, lip stick..so 5.  I don't fuss too much with every day make up.  However, if I want to make a special effort for an occasion and look the best that I can, it probably goes up to 15 products.

May: Primer, foundation, concealer, blusher, powder, eyeshadow, mascara, eyeliner, lipstick/gloss...9...not too bad?!

14.What is the first thing you do when you get home from work in the evening?

Mack:  Give my babies a big hug and kiss and see how their day was.

May: Assuming I'm not going out again, hair up, PJs on.

15.What is your favourite blog (apart from Mack & May)?

Mack: I like thefinancialdiet.com.  It is all about the "Luxury of Spending Less".  Some really creative ideas about money, food, style and life. Love Chelsea Fagan's style of writing.

May: Wah...just one? I'm loving hannahgale.co.uk at the moment. She has some really honest posts and they are very well written.

16.Who is your favourite vlogger?

Mack:  I love American vloggers.  Victoria Donelda is brilliant.  Makes me smile with her candid, funny reviews.  I also like Lush (as they are soooo cute!) and anyone vlogging about a new puppy (as I have one).  It seems like you are no one on You Tube until you vlog about a new puppy.

May: Another tough one, but I think I'd have to say Essie Button. If I could have a second, I might have to chose Ben Brown.

17.Any inspiring words to end with?

Mack: The world is your lobster!  (That's what my 5-year old son said to me!)

May: Comparison is the thief of joy :)
