Happy New Year from Mack and May!

At the risk of sounding (even) older than our years, or trotting out a terrible cliché, what the heck happened to 2014? We have both said recently that it seemed to pass in the blink of an eye. Nonetheless, it was a year of positives overall for us and we hope it was for you too. Now though, to look forward to what the new year might bring.

We have written some New Year's resolutions which we really are going to try and keep to for longer that just the first week of January. We have tried to make them realistic and achievable. Wish us luck! Ours are below, and we'd love to hear yours.

Health and Diet -
  • make lunches for work - we spend far too much of our hard earned money eating out at lunchtime. It is not good for our bank balances or our waistlines. Keep your eyes peeled for some quick and easy lunch ideas coming soon...
  • cut down on refined sugar - we'd like to say cut out refined sugar, but that may be pushing it...
  • take vitamins and supplements to keep our insides as healthy as we can. As well as keeping up with Inner Me, we have stocked up on some goodies from Holland & Barratt  (such as the Acai and Green Tea tablets, and the Bootea 14 Day Teatox, which doesn't seem to be available online) and will let you know how we get on with those
  • get some fresh air each lunchtime - we both sit at desks all day Monday to Friday and know that a break at lunchtime really helps us feel better. Plus it might help us curb the lunchtime online shopping habit...
  • use the stairs at work and not the lift. We really don't have an excuse on this one, particularly as Mack works on the first floor of her office building!

Beauty -
  • look after our nails - all the fun with nail varnish is starting to take its toll. We have our eyes on Memebox #26 Hand and Nail Care to help us on our way (bring it back in stock Memebox!)

Home -
  • make meal plans for the week - this is for our evening meals. May used to do this but has fallen out of the habit. Personally, we waste too much food and end up eating unhealthily because we haven't planned meals in advance
  • organise our wardrobes and keep them tidy - it makes it much easier to remember what we've got!
  • de-clutter our homes and keep on top of the boring jobs like filing and shredding old papers

Lifestyle -
  • make time to visit friends and family more frequently. This one speaks for itself. We shouldn't take our loved ones for granted and there's definitely room in our lives to spend more time enjoying their company.
